Why is that I can create fantastically complex web applications and receive compliments on their ease of use, yet I can’t stylize my own site to save my life? Am I my own worst critic? Quite possibly.

In related news, I apologize in advance as I tweak my WordPress theme to my satisfaction (which, admittedly, may never come.)

As soon as I got the hang of wordpress it made life a lot easier. I found that ripping into it’s guts made me understand it more. For styling I found stripping the default theme (or a theme close to what you want) is the best way to get something you’ll be happy with.
