After owning and driving an 11.9 second quarter mile coupe every day, any replacement car would be slow. So even though this Porsche was quick and rather enjoyable to drive, I had to give up the ‘DIV V8′ license plate and choose something more appropriate. ‘NOPOWER’ was my top choice because, by comparison, this car had no horsepower verses the previous Eagle Talon.

The handling ability of this car surpasses anything I’ve ever owned. Because it’s a front engine and rear transaxle (transmission + rear diff in one) chassis, the weight balancing was incredible (52% front, 48% rear). You could take this car as hard into a corner as you dared and not only did it behave very very well, it was extremely predictable.

Having chipped the computer, modified the exhaust, and improved the intercooler’s functionality, the straight line performance was impressive for a 1980′s German sport coupe (high 13′s in the quarter mile.) This 2.5 liter four cylinder produced approximately 300whp with 350tq.

I never should have sold this car, but sadly I did and moved on to a four door German sedan.
